My
name is Tiffany Swain and I am so excited to be your child’s 4K teacher this
year! We are going to learn so many new things in 4K, and the best part is, we
will have a lot of fun doing it! I am looking forward to meeting you and
getting to know all about you this year, but let me start by telling you a
little bit about me...
I grew
up in the Fox Valley, and I am the oldest of four girls. After I graduated from
high school, I attended Fox Valley Technical College and graduated with an
Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Development. After several years working
at various childcare centers throughout the Valley as a Substitute Childcare Teacher,
I decided to go back to school to pursue my Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education.
I then spent several years promoting quality childcare by providing resources,
training, consulting, and mentoring to child care providers and parents. This
past year I decided to go back to my first love, teaching!
When
I’m not at school I like to spend time with my family. I live in Appleton with
my husband Don and our two young children. I have a five-year-old son named
Evan that will be starting Kindergarten this year, a three-year-old daughter
Alyssa who tries to keep up with her big brother, and a nineteen-year-old
daughter that just got married and is staying in Canada with her new husband. I can’t wait to hear all about you, your
family, and what you love to do!
In 4k
this year, we will learn a lot about being safe, respectful, and responsible.
We will also learn about being great friends, being independent, as well as
learn about letters, sounds, numbers, rhyming, and so much more. I look forward
to learning all that you have to share with me and I can’t wait to meet you and
your family!
